I made the original version of these stools for a small breakfast bar in my own home. I have since made them with cherry, walnut and mahogany seats and ash, maple and white oak legs and stretchers. They are available in counter height, bar height, and anything in-between. I feel the contrast between the darker seat and lighter legs is a striking component of the design. The gentle curves of the seat, the legs and the stretchers lend a lightness and grace to an otherwise utilitarian object.
The first picture is three 26 inch or counter height stools with cherry seats and maple legs, the second picture is a 28 inch pair with walnut seats and white oak legs.
